September Rain Event

I don’t think we are in for another Tropical Storm Erin experience like back in August of 2007 but certainly the potential is there for some pretty serious rainfall in parts of OK.  Yeah, I know, TX and KS/MO areas will get hit hard too but my focus is more immediate therefore I am switching [...] [...]

Iz Gone Rain!

A little surprise Tropical Storm popped up in the GOM a few days ago and now it’s going to be a pain in the butt for TX, OK & KS as it moves north and slowly dissipates, bringing a ton of water with it:

I just took about a half hour of my life seeking out cool maps for the ChaserTV website that would auto update and make my life a helluva lot easier when I go to update the website regarding Hurricane Earl.

5/10/10 Forecast

Okay, so this technically is not a forecast but rather a mention that Monday everyone in Wichita Kansas and Enid Oklahoma are going to die according to a few storm chasers who are a little too giddy about the idea of grinders chewing up metro areas.  In all seriousness, this is a huge event on [...] [...]

Tomorrow is a chase day for sure for Hans and me.  We will likely stick around for Friday as things look right now.  I’m not gonna throw a bunch of wx info at you, the following maps accomplish everything you need to know.

4/5/10 Forecast

Tomorrow will be the first real chase day of 2010 for me.  A couple previous chase-plays in the area have not really counted in my book… Tomorrow will be all out chase gear and hopefully something will go.  Here are a few maps:
At 00z yesterday the 48hr WRF was really bullseying Hays, KS and points [...] [...]
